Self-portraits

I order to learn how to properly draw a face I practised from real-life examples. With a mirror before me, I tried to learn how to draw the total construction of the face through observative drawing. I also looked into skull anatomy (also see skulls) and facial anatomy to learn how the face is constructed within the period of this project I made 54 portraits of myself. These pictures show my progress from the beginning stage until the end-stage all of this has been made in the scope of a year. See the rest down below in the download link.

Objects

I began drawing objects to improve my 3D modelling to learn how objects and everything in the world is constructed. Besides that also looked into how different materials interact with lighting to get a better understanding of how light acts in the world. I made iterations on different objects these can be seen in the download link down below.

Skulls to face

During my process of learning to draw, I came into contact with two teachers of IGAD at the BUaS in Breda they advised me to start drawing skulls since 80% of the facial features are determined by the shape of their skull recognizes these skull features in somebodies face is a helpfull tool into creating a stable base to draw from. These techniques have helped me a lot of in understanding facial anatomy and are something I am still using as of now.

Essher game concepting

For a free project at my college, I and my friend worked out a concept of a brawler game. We were trying to create something different something that what using the chaos to fun model (which you can see back in games like Overcooked). Inspired by the game The bridge we came up with this Essher inspired game concept which needed to create an interaction that creates chaos to fun through messing up players perception. The game's story is set up in a steampunk environment in which the different factions need to get crystals in the Essher dimension to act as fuel for their people. (2018)

3D modelling outside projects

Throughout the years I made some models outside of projects like the bicycle I made for my application at IGAD these will be shown in here and small speculative design models like the vaccine mosquito
